A Hidden Gem in the Gem of the Hill Country
On the southern outskirts of the charming little town of Mason, TX, sharing space with an RV park, a rodeo arena, a football stadium, several baseball fields and a community building, lies Comanche Creek Golf Course. This 9 hole, 6108 yard course, conceived in 1985, and opened for business in 1987, is a real tribute to the vision and hard work of the citizens of Mason, because they built it themselves!
This dream that became a reality is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, weather permitting. There are practice greens and a driving range available for golfers wishing to warm up a bit before they take on the course, and the clubhouse sells snacks, ice and golf paraphernalia. A small, rental fleet of electric golf carts stands ready to transport golfers around the course. Greens fees are $15 weekdays, and $20 on the weekend. Cart rental fees are $5 per person per 9 holes.
While there is no need to reserve a tee time, it’s always wise to call ahead (325-347-5798) just to make sure there are no tournaments or course maintenance activities that might conflict with your desired time slot.
