The Rolling Oaks Golf Club in Rising Star is one of the Texas Hill Country’s most playable courses. The 18 hole course runs 6,471 yards from the blue tees and pars out at 72. Rolling Oaks features magnificent tree-lined, Bermuda grass fairways which are open enough for amateurs yet long enough to challenge higher level players. Traps play a minimal role on the course with water hazards only present on two holes and no sand bunkers on the course. The greens on the course vary in elevation and ripple presenting even the best golfers with a short grass challenge. Rolling Oaks has a course rating of 71.1 and a slope rating of 119.
The clubhouse at Rolling Oaks acts as both a pro-shop and a concessions counter. Cold drinks and snacks are sold from the clubhouse while basic golf gear is sold at the pro-shop. No alcoholic beverages are sold at the clubhouse due to Eastland County regulations however golfers can provide their own at no extra cost. Ice is sold at the clubhouse.
Rolling Oaks Golf Club hosts two regular scramble tournaments. A two man nine-hole scramble is held every Tuesday evening and a two man 18 hole draw scramble is held every second Saturday.
